Global climate change

The effects of human-caused global warming are happening now, they will be irreversible on the timescale of people living today and will worsen over the next few decades. Scientists are very confident that global temperatures will continue to rise in the coming decades, largely due to greenhouse gases produced by human activities.

The IPCC predicts a temperature rise of between 2.5 and 10 degrees Fahrenheit over the next century.

Some long-term effects of global climate change will be:

  • ·         Temperatures will continue to rise. The temperature rise has not been, and won’t be, uniform or even across the country or over time.
  • ·         Precipitation Patterns Will Change
  • ·         There will be more droughts and heat waves
  • ·         The Arctic won't have more ice
  • ·         Hurricanes will be stronger and more intense

what are we doing to tackle climate change?

The solution requires comprehensive action

The acceptance of acting against global warming has been a function of how "sure" governments were that climate change was happening. What will be its consequences? How much will it cost them to take action? And what will be the benefits?

Walking or cycling or using public transport, instead of a car, will reduce and there won’t be many carbon emissions. Also, it will keep you fit.

Save energy

This will generate that the energy is better used.

Inform and educate others

The new generations will grow up knowing what is happening in the world. They will understand that this topic should not be left lightly.

The change is now. This topic will not be aired.

Remember that the world we will leave to our children will be different from how we know it today.
